Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use Storivo, we may collect:

• Account and contact information: your name, email address, phone number, password-derived authentication data, and account preferences.
• Story and production information: film titles, memories, scripts, final messages, character names and roles, appearance descriptions, relationships, clothing, personality notes, creative direction, feedback, and approvals.
• Photos and media: character-reference photos and other files you choose to upload, plus the animated images, audio, scenes, and films created during production.
• Order and transaction information: the selected package, film format, price, currency, order status, payment status, Stripe customer and transaction references, refunds, and delivery details. Storivo does not receive your full payment-card number.
• Communications: messages, support requests, production discussions, attachments, and other correspondence.
• Device and usage information: IP address, device and browser details, timezone, session information, sign-in activity, security events, and interactions needed to operate and protect the service.

A story or photo may reveal sensitive details about you or another person. Please submit only what is reasonably needed to create the film and only when you have permission to do so.

We receive most personal information directly from you when you create an account, complete the film-creation flow, upload media, purchase a film, or contact us.

We also receive limited transaction information from Stripe, technical and security information from your browser or device, and production outputs or status information from providers that help us create and deliver your film. You may also provide information about relatives, friends, or other people who appear in a memory; you are responsible for having permission to provide it.

We use personal information to:

• Create, manage, revise, render, and deliver your film.
• Maintain your account, drafts, orders, and private media.
• Process payments, cancellations, refunds, and order records.
• Communicate about your story, production progress, account, and support requests.
• Secure Storivo, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose problems, and enforce our terms.
• Improve the reliability, usability, and quality of our service using operational information and feedback.
• Comply with law, maintain business records, and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use your stories, photos, or completed films to advertise Storivo without separate permission from you.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

• Contract: processing needed to create your account, fulfill an order, produce a film, or respond before you enter into a contract.
• Legitimate interests: operating, securing, supporting, and improving Storivo, preventing misuse, and managing our business, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligations: tax, accounting, regulatory, law-enforcement, and other requirements that apply to us.
• Consent: where we ask for optional permission, including certain uses of sensitive information or promotional use of your film. You may withdraw consent at any time for future use.

We may share personal information with:

• Payment providers: Stripe processes checkout, payment, fraud-prevention, and refund information under its own privacy terms.
• Hosting and storage providers: infrastructure providers that operate Storivo and Cloudflare R2, which stores private customer and production media.
• Production providers: services such as OpenAI, fal.ai, and ElevenLabs that help create written, visual, video, or audio elements.
• Professional advisers and authorities: lawyers, accountants, insurers, courts, regulators, or law enforcement when reasonably necessary or legally required.
• Business transaction recipients: a buyer, successor, or adviser involved in a proposed merger, financing, restructuring, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not disclose private films publicly unless you direct us to or separately authorize that use.

Storivo uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your light or dark theme, preserve film drafts, and support core security and functionality. Some draft files may be stored locally on your device until they are uploaded or removed.

We do not currently use this website’s browser storage for third-party behavioral advertising. You can clear stored website data through your browser, but doing so may sign you out or remove an unfinished local draft.

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the type of information, whether your account or order remains active, production and delivery needs, security concerns, dispute periods, and tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.

Pending, rejected, replaced, or detached uploads may be removed after a limited cleanup period. Account, order, payment, and legal records may be retained after an account-deletion request when required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary course.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. Private media is stored in nonpublic storage and made available through time-limited access when needed. Access is limited according to operational need.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account or film has been accessed without authorization.

Storivo and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or other lawful transfer mechanisms. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information. You may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain disclosures, and appeal a denied request.

To exercise a right, email storivoanimationstudio@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. You may use an authorized agent where local law permits. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

You may also complain to your local privacy or data-protection regulator. If processing is based on consent, withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Storivo accounts and purchases are for adults. A child may appear in a story or film only when the adult account holder is the child’s parent or legal guardian, or has permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian to submit the information and request the film.

We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or submit personal information directly. If you believe a child submitted information without appropriate adult involvement, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Storivo, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material or applicable law requires it.
